CIRCULAIRE

During the past few years, the term of circular supply chain (CSC) has been used in the circular economy (CE) world.

This website aims to be the platform for gathering together the various ideas and work being carried out on SCC, and to provide links to some remarkable initiatives.

Despite it being a French lobby, our ideas go beyond language and borders. We are glad to share our ideas to anyone who seeks inspiration and new references.

Why is the circular supply chain central to circular economy ?

The circular model is not limited to the addition of a single loop at the end of a linear chain; on the contrary, it is based on the creation of multiple loops, of varying lengths and with no time limit. The NF ISO 59004 standard ‘Circular economy vocabulary’ identifies 13 key actions for managing resources in the circular economy, representing as many physical, information and financial flows to be structured. These actions, which incorporate levers such as recycling, reuse, remanufacture, repair and the economy of functionality, can be broken down into numerous variants that need to be decided. Only the implementation and management of a Circular Supply Chain will enable this complex system to be organised in such a way as to maintain the high value of the resources mobilised at all times.
